So I been doing my research on a new camera lense for my camera. I been wanting to step it up a notch especially since I been doing a lot of sports photography. I spoke to a couple of photographers and experts and also a sports photographers as well. Thanks to Carmine Galasso from the Record and he schooled me on some lenses to look at. So after all the asking and researching and what not I ended up picking up the Canon 70-200mm telephoto lense it is a nice piece of equipment and a bit heavy on the pocket but well worth it here it is.

Hello all hope all are well been on a major hiatus been working hard and on the grind. Been doing alot of photography lately and documenting life thru sports. It has definitely caught my attention though I've been doing photography for a while but just put it to the side to pursue painting. Boy do I remember those undergrad days of photography and late nites in the darkroom developing and printing gotta love those times. Good morning my good peoples hope all are doing well. First and foremost praises to the most high for allowing us to be here another day. Sad to say that Chile right now is in a major state of emergency with that earthquake it suffered two days ago my prayers go out to the whole country of Chile stay strong it will take time to put the pieces together but you shall overcome this catastrophe. And to those who lost their lives my condolences go out to the families of those who didn't make it. We do not have any warnings of these types of natural disasters or what not and we have to hope for the best and keep the faith. I am a strong believer that mother earth has had it with the damage man has done to it and it is reacting to all these years of mistreating and now it is taking on its revenge and letting us know that I also breath and live like the rest of ya'll!

In other news yesterday was the day in which the Dominican Republic gained its independence from Haiti on February 27, 1844 thanks to three brave men by the names of Juan Pablo Duarte, Ramon Matias Mella & Francisco del Rosario Sanchez biggups to all the Dominicans out there in the world hope you all enjoyed your day of independence!!!

So yesterday I was in the city at Duggal visual solutions which is a photo developing and printing and scanning place that artist Tony Peralta from The Peralta Project put me up on it good looks Tony. I am in the process of getting reproductions made of the Kanye West mixed-media piece I created a about two months ago. I've been getting alot of feedback about it and people have been inquiring about prints to purchase so I have taken the initiative to have prints made signed and numbered so stay tuned!! If you don't know what piece I am talking about here it is the piece

American art Icon (Andy Warhol) will be on exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum in June 2010 until September 2010. Andy Warhol: The Last Decade is the first U.S. museum survey to examine the late work of American artist Andy Warhol (1928–1987). Encompassing nearly fifty works, the exhibition reveals the artist’s vitality, energy, and renewed spirit of experimentation. During this time Warhol produced more works, in a considerable number of series and on a vastly larger scale, than at any other point in his forty-year career. It was a decade of great artistic development for him, during which a dramatic transformation of his style took place alongside the introduction of new techniques.

Another artist that I've always been of fan of him and his work has been painter and illustrator Mike Thompson. His work is infinite and definitely speaks for itself. I remember when I used to cop XXL and other hip-hop / urban magazines I would always see some of his work. And I would always ask myself yo who is this artist. His work is easily identifiable because of his unique style and technique. His application of color and the draftsmenship of his drawings are almost unexplanable. But his work definitely deserves a standing ovation some of the artists he's done paintings or illustrations are Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Prince Paul, DMX, Jim Jones, Jermaine Dupre, T.I, Pharrell Williams, Rick Ross, and Jay-Z and the list goes on. Some of his clients consist of Ecko, EA sports, Coke, XXL. Here is some of his works enjoy!

MORNING ALL

Good morning all hope all are doing well. Just up as usual had my cup of coffee and a lil dominican breakfast without any meats. I don't do the whole pork thing and beef joint neither. Just not my style so I had some plantains w/ eggs and cheese yup! It's the typical breakfast in the dominican household. Now I am ready to tackle the day. I been browsing around like a lil busy bee where I don't even know where to start the day with all the things that need to be done from business to artwork but hey we gotta make this happen. This friday I will be attending an event a mixer of young dominican professionals in nyc. Thanks to Sound of Art founder Leo Vasquez thanks for the invite Leo. I'M BACK / MIGUEL ZENON / SNEAK PEEK

Good evening ya'll hope all are well been busy and doing alot of running around these past few days and past two weeks or so. Been trying to keep and stay on track the best way that I can but its not easy. I have come to the conclusion that I think I just need to say "no work for me and more rest today" because I am always doing something and always on the move. Then by the time I end my day I am fully exhausted mentally and physically so I have to put my self in check for a bit and take it easy word is born as they would say back in the day. I am in the process of taking time out to edit the many photos that I have taken and choose the best ones of course and on top of that want to finish up and continue creating new work and staying motivated.

Last saturday I had the pleasure of hanging out with my mom and chilling for a change and going out to see a live jazz performance. I have to say I was amazed and also blown away by jazz musician of Puerto Rican descent Miguel Zenon and his band. The music was so soulfoul, rich, vibrant, relaxing, and peacefull I can go on forever expressing the feeling I felt when he was performing. What a great idea of fusing jazz and the folkloric music of Puerto Rico "Bomba y Plena" I would def go again to check him out and most of all my mom had a good time yup! So check him out whenever you have the chance definitely recommend him if you are looking for some good times and entertainment.

SNOW+COVERED STREETS = DELAYED OPENING

Good morning all this is an early post today at exactly 7:25 am. Due to the snow fall over night we now have a delayed opening at the school where I teach at. So I am taking advantage of the extra time to prepare myself for the day even though I am so used to waking up every day at 6 am I am up watching sports center and blogging it up early. I must say yesterday was a long day for me of teaching and then came home took a power nap then went into the studio to edit some photos that I took on sunday at the crash mansion on bowery in nyc. So I am going to post up the rest of the photos right now as a continuation from yesterdays post.

In other news I was just on the Brooklyn Circus website again and I must say every time I tune in to their blog updates I am blown away by their taste of style and their crispy vintage looking photographs. I must say the bearded man's aka Ouigi 100 year plan is a beautiful work in progress. I am still to yet to purchase an article of clothing from the BK circus but very hard to choose with one I want decisions decisions. The BK team is definitely making major power moves here in the states BK, SF & the world good luck guys keep up the good work. Here is a pic so you can have an idea of what I am talking about.

TUESDAY MORNING / DUNK XCHANGE NYC

Morning all it is tuesday morning and I am at the work place already yup thats right. I am that early bird who works into the nite and up early as always. This past weekend I was at the Dunk exchange nyc at teh Crash Mansion / Blvd. With the likes of Fresh Kickz sneaker boutique shout outs to my boy Dee, Zeak, Pun and the rest of the staff. The events get better and better every time the tour comes to nyc. We are looking to hit up Dunk exchange up in DC and just spread the message of creativity and enlarge the networking. I took advantage of shooting some flicks at the event with my camera aka my new toy and I must say I got some good flicks. Sneaker culture has come along way from when I was growing up and the designs and color schemes of the kicks are crazy. Dunk xchange is definitely an experience for me and the rest who have never been to one. This is my third event that I go to and plan on going to many more as they come and as I stated earlier go on a travel tour and follow it like Miami, DC, and def would like to do San Francisco. Hello all I am back it is currently the afternoon and the day is almost over for me got about 30 more minutes of work then I am out and free to go until tomorrow back to the old drawing board. I am currently in the works and in the process of purchasing a LCD projector so that I can be able to teach better and show my students visual references. It is very important for students and artists themselves to look at work done by other students and artists. So yes I got my macbook ready and now all I need is a projector and I am ready to go.

Hello all hope all are well. Its been a while since I've posted but I am trying to make a comeback and dedicate more time to this blog. I did say before I wanted to keep this one going but again I've been very occupied with teaching. Yes that takes up alot of your time and of course by the end of the day I have no energy to want to even work or blog about anything well maybe about me wanting my comfy bed after a long days work but anyway back to blogging. I been reading up lately on Art in America, Art Forum, Juxtapoz, Artworks magazines and even performing arts because I am so long overdue of going out and doing a museum visit or capturing a performing arts show. I need to reenergize myself with a strong artistic flow.

In other news this Friday the 29th Fresh Kickz and Emmewalls will be hosting the launch of the Fresh Kickz & EmmeWalls collabo and also the unveiling of the my latest piece on Michael Jordan titled "Love & Basketball Since Day One". In other news I have gotten back into photography slowly but surely. I been shooting away with my new Canon XSi and so far I am satisfied with the results. It's been a while since I've shot photos so pardon my performance. I been practicing and shooting some sports photography for a change. Good day all first off man it is cold as hell out there so Im trying to keep warm. Currently at my peoples shop trying to stay warm got a skully on my Avirex hoodie black retro vans on and on my mac book pro blogging it up and waiting on my new toy coming in a few days my canon rebel XSI yup! Back on my photo grind miss it been out the game for a minute and my photography family has been trying to convince me to get back into the game so they finally convinced me. Thanks to Michelle Wilson whose been telling me for a hot minute to pick the camera back up.

So in other news the Jordan Space Jams released last week and it was a total fiasco all over the country people waiting in lines for hours and even damaging store fronts just to get their hands on a pair of lifeless soles. But hey we all have a thing for something in the world but you gotta respect the Jordan game its tough and highly competitive so to all of you who got your hands on a pair of Jams congrats make sure you take care of them because there are going to become very rare in just a nick of time. I happened to come this close to a pair of them at Fresh Kickz sneaker boutique and I was given the honor to touch them and also take a picture of them. Current readings I happen to be at Barnes & Noble and picked up this issue of course because Alicia was on the cover so it was a must to cop it. They do have some good articles in this issue so ya'll definitely have to pick up a copy. So I actually some time out of my busy work schedule to read it and actually learn new things. Giant magazine is def a good mag and good articles in it as well.

DUNK X CHANGE @ CRASH MANSION NYC

Good day all hope all of you are doing just fine and are away from this snowstorm / blizzard. Today I was able to make it out to the Dunk X Change at the Crash Mansion in New York City. I have to say the moment I arrived the mood was chill and the vibe was real and laid back. Clothing brands and sneaker heads were setting up their product and the music was just true to the essence. There were playing oldschool hip-hop from Gangstarr to Group Home, from Boot Camp Click to OGC , Pete Rock and CL Smooth and the list goes on but you guys get the idea. So yeah though the weather was not forgiving that didn't stop true sneaker and fashion heads from coming out to this wonderful event. Biggups to Fresh Kickz Boutique, Yote City Clothing, Dirty Jax Clothing Josh and C Perior, Desaree from Fly Kickz, 8&9 clothing. and Dro Pesci the host from Shady records and DJ Jack the Ripper always showing love. Hey hey what's goin' on... it's your home girl Hooch! Lettin' E kick his feet up for a bit! Shout out to E by the way for having yet ANOTHER successful shoot with Michelle W! Big ups for that.. More on that in our future post.

Now you all know how much I LOVE music!? & If you know me personally you know having a phone conversation with me is the worst because I ALWAYS have music playing, no if and's or but's. I'm always open and looking to explore new underground artist, or local artist tryna' make something out of something out of nothing out of something out of ... ok I'll stop... :(

Anyway I'm extremely picky with the music I actually LIKE... I'll listen to ANYTHING, but I won't like EVERYTHING. & this dude we're featuring today... THIS DUDE.. from his lyrics to his face, to his hair, down to his beats, mix tape etc... ( I can go on for days) .. This dude stole my ear with his music, my eyes with his face, and my heart with his ability to have an intellectual conversation without sounding like a fraud!

1. State your name for the record please

M-Eazy in the flesh.

2. Why "M-Eazy" ?

You know what? I don't know. I feel names should be given to you. You don't decide what people call you. When I was younger running the streets that's what my friends called me. My real name is Matthew so obviously that's where the significance of the "M" comes in place. Supposedly it's a common nickname. I get a lot of dudes hitting me up saying I'm not M-Eazy, they are, blah blah blah. So on a lot of my accounts I put "The Real M-Eazy" out of humor of the situation but keeping it funky. Hov calls Memphis Bleek, M-Eazy. So really Bleek is the real M-Eazy. I don't know if I'll ever get into a problem with the name because of that or not.

3. What do you do for a living?

Right now I'm just a college student at Full Sail University. Majoring in Recording Arts and Music Business.

4. At what age did you begin writing, & what inspired you to do so?

I think I was around 14-15. I started off writing about girlfriends I had. Then when I was 17, I actually got into the recording and getting more creative with my writing.

5. Do you consider yourself a rapper, or an emcee?

Neither. I consider myself an Artist. What I do is just an art. I'm more into the making of music rather then the actually rapping on the microphone. Soon I would like to be considered a Musician. I'm taking classes in Piano and maybe if I'm good enough I might take some in Guitar.

6. What goals & aspirations do you have for your music?

My number one goal is just want to have a successful career. Whatever I end up being in this industry I want to be really good at it. Doesn't matter if I'm a millionaire or just living comfortably but I do want to have enough money for my mother to quit both her jobs so she can finally relax for once in her life.

7. Now a day anyone can spit & make it. What set's you apart from all the mainstream bull?

What sets me apart is I can do it all. I don't just write and spit. I can record and mix my own beats and vocals. I'm working on my producing skills but I'm hoping soon enough I'll be up to par with that as well. Where I am right now with my music I got here completely by myself. Everything you hear in my music is usually all done by me. Except this mixtape I did get some help on getting beats from other producers. Like I said I'm working on that part of my game. Everything else is all me.

8. Who are some of your inspirations in music?

I could get inspiration just out of a situation that happens throughout my day but music wise. I've always been big fans of Jay-Z, Joe Budden, Stack Bundles, Fabolous, The Roots, Evidence (from Dilated Peoples), Coldplay, and as of the past year even Drake and Kid Cudi.

9. If you were president what would you do/change?

I don't really follow too much on politics but as a average guy, outside looking in on the situation. I think recession is a big deal. Even college students graduating with a degree are having trouble finding jobs.

10. Aight so I'ma start you off and you continue .. readyyyy?

11. if you could change one thing about music what would it be?

I wouldn't change anything about the music itself. It's the fans that choose the direction music goes. I think we need to get more people into what heart and soul of the music. Music with more meaning and inspiration instead of all hype flow and dancing type songs. I mean that shit cool when you with a girl and you tryna do ya thing but a dude like me got different types of vibes and different types of moods for different types of music. Feel me?

Haha. Thank you. I'm all smiles.

13. So I heard your mixtape.. It was dope.. What did you want to accomplish with that?

I just wanted to get more people to hear what I have to say. Grow a bigger fan base and just prove I'm good at what I love to do. That I'm not just another local guy who thinks he can rap.

14. do you hope to make it big like Gucci mane and Wayne, or do you hope to remain underground like Mos Def, Kwali, Elzhi , and Grae? (I didn't mean for that to rhyme)

Now you just named a lyrical legend. Being anywhere near the same category as Talib Kweli would be a honor but I have no destination on where I hopes to be categorized. I think my fans will have more control on that situation then me. I'm just going to make music that I feel that stands for me and try to be successful in anyway I can. I still ain't shit compared to a lot of people who are in this industry and this is a tough business to get into so I'm willing to get my foot in the door by any means necessary. I mean... even Tupac had to do the Humpty.

15. Is there a message you want to send out through your music?

Of course there's a different message in each and every song. I have a song called "Jumping Off A Building". Now just looking at that name you would never guess it's a track about my girlfriend. Basically saying I'm down for you and I'm willing to do whatever step needs to be taken for us but once we take this step it's do or die and if things go wrong. My heart will be jumping off a building. Then the "I Can Do Bad By Myself" is the sequel to that song and in that song one of the bars goes "My heart is on top of the building. I think it's about to Ron Browz". You know Ron Browz jumping out the window with this one! haha.

16. LASTLY, do you think you have talent, or a gift ..? (there's a difference)

Now Denisse you my homie so I won't put you on the spot that talent is in the definition of gift (haha) but I feel what you saying. I think I may have both. My grandfather was naturally gifted with music. He played the harmonica and the piano. He never had lessons. He just taught himself. He also sung in his church's choir. So, maybe I got a little bit of him inside me. Who knows but with that gift I worked hard to create it into talent. With both in my favor hopefully I'm potential of something great.

DESIGNIN AND BRAINSTORMING

Hello all it is sunday and I should be watching the Giants v.s Cowboys game but art before sports lol. I am currently chilling with my design heads at the chill spot in Union city brainstorming for the new year to to launch some fiyaaaa! I am currently doing works on paper for a change just to lay off the canvas for a few but I shall return to it fast. Two of the current works I am working on are based on Kanye West and Ryan Leslie pretty funky I like the way they are coming out. Previews will be up soon just have to find the time to take some pics and upload them. So yeah I have been putting in some overtime in the studio every chance that I get.

In other news I happen to be over one of my very good artists friends house graphic designer extraordinaire Emme Walls. And we were listening to some music on her 27in. Imac big bad boy and she was playing a song by reggaeton artist Arc Angel called "Quimica Sustancia" Chemical Substance the track sounded very different and not just average sound. So one of the very few songs that I like from that genre of music.

ANOTHER DAY ON THE GRIND / MORE INSPIRATION

So I happen to be still recovering from this small cold I have that in reality has been kicking my butt but I am not giving up on it. I will combat it till until its gone. But on the other hand I have been working day in and day out on various projects will which will be done very soon. I kind of sort of want to keep everyone in suspense for a bit until I am ready to really debut everything. The month of December looks like its going to be a very busy and productive month for me with art, meetings, and networking which is always a good thing. I am not complaining. This saturday I will be live at Fresh Kicks sneaker boutique painting live along side Sublime Dreamer clothing company for their interview as well as the Fresh Kicks staff. Big shout out to Dee from FK good looks brotha!

On saturday Dec. 12th I will be attending "The Movement" group show featuring many well known and talented artists. Should be a great event and good times as well thanks to my boy and talented artist Cesar "5inco" Rubin for the invite. Below is the video/invitation and address to the event enjoy!

Hello all hope all are doing well. As all of you may already know today is World Aids Day please inform yourselves and use protection and practice abstinence as well. Lets spread knowledge and not disease. In other news I've I have been keeping everyone informed about my latest actions in the studio I am currently working on some new work that will be debut in 2010 so please stay tuned you won't be let down. I've been looking lately at other artists work to get inspired while I work on a new series of work. Viewing other artists work is always refreshing and soothing to the soul as I regroup my creative thoughts for creating phenominal work.
In other news here are some of the things that have been motivating me lately and helping me build my artistic pallette of creativity and color as well enjoy the pics.

Hello all back again though I am under the weather with the sniffles and a bit of a flu bug I'm maintaining. Been working on various projects and trying my best to finish them all off one at a time. Been very busy and trying to focus on what it is I have to do. Been looking at work from some of my fav artists and looking at anything that inspires me. I been on a small hiatus but I am coming back slowly and I shall blossom once again but I will come back there are new art in the works. A new series of works is coming..... New logo coming soon as fresh new start!

Here we have our interview with none other than the legend in the making himself, DRUM ROLL PLEASE..........

Alright, alright.. here goes!

1. THE ESSO EXPERIENCE.. WHERE DID THE NAME COME FROM?

The site name was inspired by Jimi Hendrix and his band The Jimi Hendrix Experience. I try and pull inspiration from greatness no matter what the genre or walk of life it may come from.

2. WHAT INSPIRES YOU EVERY MORNING TO WAKE UP AND SAY THIS IS WHAT I WAS MADE FOR, AND YOU KNOW WHAT I'M GOING TO KEEP ON DOING IT?

I think more than anything I realize that I was never really meant to be normal. When I was in elementary school when they asked us what we want to be when we grow up, I said an Astronaut. My whole life I've been told I can be anything I want to be as long as I work hard enough to achieve my goals. I've been doing music seriously for 3 years now and I've been on major networks, in mainstream magazines alongside some of the biggest names in the industry and had some really good success with my music. With that said there's still so much more that I want to achieve so there's no way that I can ever get lazy about my music because I always challenge myself to push the envelope a little further and perfect my craft that much more. I'd rather struggle to live my life my way and be happy, than be miserable and comfortable.

3. OKAY NOW I NEED TO ADD THAT I DID DOWNLOAD YOUR OFF THE WALL ALBUM, & IT WAS JUST THAT, "OFF THE WALL".. WHAT INSPIRED THIS?

Around January or February I was in my ipod as I always am, and I revisited the original album. Once I started listening to it I couldn't get away from it. I was in the process of working on my debut album at the time but I had this idea to take Off The Wall and use it as the inspiration for a project. The musical range of the album by itself is incredible, so I knew it would make me deal with some things through my music that I may have not touched on without those samples as the inspiration. I told Woody (the producer of the project) about the idea and he was immediately down and went to work. We finished it up in early June, and then on June 25th our lives were kinda turned inside out when Mike passed.

4. & I KNOW YOU ANSWERED A SIMILAR QUESTION LIKE THIS ONE ON YOUR BLOG, BUT WHAT MADE YOU PICK MJ? & HOW DID YOU FEEL WHEN JUST MONTHS IF NOT SOONER AFTER YOU HAD THIS PROJECT STARTED, THE KING OF POP PASSED AWAY?

I was devastated. I was confused, I was hurt, I was frantic, I was all these different things at the same time. I was probably the worst person to try and hold a conversation with for a week. I couldnt listen to my project, I couldnt listen to Off The Wall at all. I was in such a state of shock that I didnt even know what to do with myself.

6. WHAT UPCOMING PROJECTS, AND VISIONS DO YOU HAVE FOR YOUR CAREER?

Right now I'm back to working on my official debut album Evolved which is like my unborn child to me. The idea is that music and especially Rap/Hip-Hop have to evolve just like Darwin's theory. I have a line in a freestyle where I said "I am the evolution of the species/ the genetic mutation on mp3's" and I really believe that. I think that as far as New York artists go, I'm just genetically different, even though we grew up on the same music and in the same neighborhoods and saw the same things. I think I process things a lot differently and thats what separates my music from a lot of what's coming out right now. And just like Darwin's theory, only the fittest survive, so time will tell if the mutation is a good thing or a bad thing. I guess that answer also gives you a good idea of the vision that I have for my career also. I dont ever want to be status quo. I dont ever want to be normal. I dont want to be just a great New York rapper. I want people to remember me as a great Artist and end the sentence right there.

7. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT MAINSTREAM HIP HOP?

I dont really know what thats supposed to mean. I think people have these categories that they force on people and Mainstream is somehow supposed to be a bad thing because its widely accepted. I want my music to be mainstream, of course. I dont think that anyone pursues a career in music to limit themselves to a particular audience. Also the definition of mainstream hip hop changes all the time. Jay-Z drops "Death Of Autotune" and now all the sudden a soulful beat is mainstream again. I think the key thing is not to chase what's mainstream, but try and create something that's genuine whatever that may mean to the person that's creating it. Every single underground artist in the world is one hit away from being mainstream, don't ever forget that.

8. FAVORITE ARTIST/S IF ANY?

Jay-Z, Nas, B.I.G., Andre 3000, Janelle Monae, Kanye West, N.E.R.D., Michael Jackson, Lupe Fiasco, Coldplay, Heartsrevolution, Solange...the list goes on and on.....

9. BEING A WRITER, I PERSONALLY FEEL LIKE EVERYTIME I WRITE AN ARTICLE, A POEM, A SONG WHAT HAVE YOU, IT'S LIKE BRINGING TO THE LIGHT A PIECE OF MY SOUL... NOW DO YOU FIND WHAT YOU DO EXPOSING WHO YOU ARE THROUGH YOUR MUSIC OR PURE ENTERTAINMENT?

Yea it's definitely showing people different sides of myself at different times. I think the best artists allow you to see the picture that they're painting through their music. One of my best friends is a painter. I cant do anything near what he can do on a canvas, but he cant do anything near what I can do on a beat and we have a mutual respect for that fact. It's all art at the end of the day no matter what medium it may be created in.

10. LAST BUT NOT LEAST.. WHERE DO YOU WANT TO TAKE THE ESSO EXPERIENCE, MEANING WHAT LEVELS ARE YOU TRYING TO REACH?

To quote myself, I'm just tryina see the view from the top. I'm a competitor and I want to be able to say that I was the best at what I did. Do I want Grammy's? of course I do. Do I want to live well, of course I do. Do I want to be in Forbes Magazine? of course I do. I want to be at the forefront of the new generation of artists that really welcome the 21st century the right way, and I wont stop until I'm there.

So there you have it ladies and gent's. The man himself.. & might I just say I was highly impressed at the audacity and honesty in all of his answers. & I most def. learned a couple of things.

So you know I have to brag about the icon and bla bla bla but dudes this guy is .. idk, if i say amazing thats underrating he just IS. So I’ve had the pleasure of talkin’ to him and asking him a couple of questions and here we go hoes.

EAU: So where are you from?

JN: I was born in Mexico, but live and always have live here in the heart.. Chicago IL.

EAU: Chi town =] nice. So have you always been interested in what you do?

JN: Ive been interested in visual arts since childhood everything from painting, drawing, sculpting, video, graphic/web design, 3D modeling ect. Ive been able to them all. and do them quite well might i add. but the one thing that stood out most was photography.

EAU: Confidence is a must cockyness is a plus edginess is a rush edges i like em rough la la la la la . Oh yeah I occasionally break out in song. No but seriously I find that fabulous, your confidence I mean. Which is the key to success belief in yourself and your work of course.

Any how why photography?

JN: I love photography for the simple concept of it. capturing and locking moments in time visually that will never happen again in that exact manner. they can be replicated but never exact.

EAU: I think I’m in love. haha Kidding but that was truly moving, a man of deep words. So what’s the craziest shoot you’ve ever done?

JN: The craziest shoot i have ever done was landscape photos in Mexico from helicopter and mountain climbing.

EAU: Back to the roots pretty awesome huh? So did you ever imagine that you’d be where you are right now in your career?

JN: I never thought id achieve as much as i have with my pictures. I always thought of this as only a relaxing hobbies. But now I am closer to actually moving it into a profession.

EAU: Wow keep us posted please. Alright alright now to the good stuff.. We know your hot, your work is hot, you look hot, whats up with the ladies any one sharing your light?

JN: Me hot…? no lol

EAU: Aww is this where the humbleness kicks in!? lol So any words of advice for aspiring successors?

JN: Dont wait around for things to happen or to be discovered. you are your own and best teacher. work hard for want you want. and rely on yourself for the best results and not on others.

EAU: You here that folks true pure deep words from the man himself!

Ahh so that was flippin sweet! He is the coolest I must say! & now we have to just bombard the page with amelicious stuff!

COLD RAINY SUNDAY

Good day everyone hope all are well and in good health. It is a bit chilly cold afternoon here in Jersey but thats how it gets around this time of the year. So far its been a busy weekend for me been taking part in alot of extra cirricular activities at the school where I teach and supporting my students to the fullest extent. This week we had spirit week and also our annual winter sports Pep Rally and Home Coming dance. I have to say the students were all excited and highly involved in showing school spirit.

In other news yesterday I also attended our highschools football game once again to support our students because it does mean alot to the athletes to see their parents and teachers their. It uplifts their spirits and also let's them know that we care about all the hard work they put in day in and day out. Whether they come out with a victory or not in my eyes and mind they are winners no matter what. I happen to find an image of yesterday's game of one of our outstanding athletes Najee Salaam completing a two-point conversion. I want to send a shout out to the rest of the football team and the coaching staff for all the hard work in guiding our students. Happy Birthday to #55 Max Almonte best wishes and blessings keep up the hard work and a shout out to the cheerleaders and the whole DC crew keep up the hard work guys!!!

Whats going on everyone? Hope all is well with you and yours. I been off track with this blogging stuff but been leaving things up to my trusty sidekick and wonderful writer Denisse a.k.a Mayinbrooklyn. Been grinding and working as an educator and trying to get myself back on the right track when it comes to creating art. If all goes well new and exciting art will start flourishing soon as well as fresh new tees from Grimus a brand name that has been in the making for a bit now brought to you by artist and founder Mario Peña of Elijah Arts Unltd. We are working hard to get it off the ground with the proper design team and marketing strategy to expose t-shrits. More info on that coming up very soon so stay tune.

In other news I just been doing alot of brainstorming and what not on whats to come next. Lately I been fiending to get back into photography Im looking at the Nikon D90. I lost out on a great opportunity this summer to get a D200 for a great price and I slept on opportunity but thats life. Here she is the D90 folks.

Hello all I been a lil behind with my blogging. Been tied up but it is now 11 at night and some change and now is that I got the time to do some blogging. This past saturday I happen to be chillin with the staff at Black Flag Shoppe in conjunction with Worx clothing brand. There was some good vibes and peeps there. Some good music spinning and some hot artwork. Thanks to O and Les at BFS I had a good time and met some really cool peoples and made some good connections. Big shoutouts to Sheena from Chainsaw & Jelly and also the founders of Heroes of Hustlers Clothing line two down to earth. Hello all hope all are well with you and yours. I have been extremely busy these past few weeks networking, building, running around, and taking care of personal business as well. So I apologize for my long absensce. This morning I took some time out to blog a bit before another long day of work and beautiful weather which I haven't been able to really enjoy. But hard work pays off thats how I see it. I been hanging out at fresh kicks sneaker boutique lately parlaying with the store owners and discussing some possible future collaborations and projects. In other news I happened to check out Kanye's blog this morning and I came across an ad that included world reknown artist Murakami, Louis Vuitton, & Kanye West. I think the concept is off the hook. It reminds me alot of my approach to my very own artwork collage style type of approach. SHEPARD FAIREY PLEADS GUILTY

Morning all happy saturday to all of you. Sun is shining birds are chriping to a beautiful beat and so forth. In other news Shepard Fairey the artist who created the famous Obama HOPE campaign poster was sentenced to two years of probation Friday after pleading guilty to three vandalism charges. Prosecutors dropped 11 other charges. Shepard Fairey pleaded guilty in Boston Municipal Court to one charge of defacing property and two charges of wanton destruction of property under $250, all misdemeanors.

ALMOST DONE

Almost done with the school year we are down to the wire. Getting ready for final exams starting tomorrow for the next few days and then rapping it up this week. Then go on cruise control until the 26th of June. Looking forward to the summer vacation after that to recover and regroup and work continue to work artistically. I have not been writing lately because I just have too much to do as of now but that will soon come to an end.

Whats going on ya'll hope all are well just blogging for a bit why I have the motivation had a long day at work. Just finished watching the a Rick Ross video ft. the dream. Video was filmed in Colombia I have to say I liked the rawness of the footage excluding the girls shaking their booties of course its still mainstream and so cliche as always. I did appreciate the artwork in the music video a mural of rick ross done up on a wall with the word Medellin to accompany it.

GOOD WEEKEND

Well I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend because I sure did. I got to get together with some of my peoples who I haven't seen in a while had good times and laughs. Nothing like being at ease with some good friends and what not. Biggups to mother nature as well for hanging in there and giving us some beautiful weather. Last night I was out in the city putting up some street art with some good old wheat paste. It is definitely an adventurous journey getting up.

Well unfortunately back to work tomorrow but at least it will be a 4 day week so that is the good thing about it. So yeah hope all of you get some good rest and be ready to go back to work tomorrow. I am gonna make this one short until my next posting.

Whats up ya'll hope all are well. Just keeping all of you posted and hoping that all are enjoying this beautiful weather that mother nature has brought us. We have to be grateful for the many blessings especially when good weather comes around. Well I know for the most part around my way everyone is sparking up their grills for a bbq, some good laughs, good food, and a beer here and there or of course your preferred drink. But most importantly some good rays of the sun our bones need it once in a while.

Well for as for me woke up early did my rounds now updating the blog and waiting to see whats up for later on today. The day is still young and some are still sleeping or recovering from a pre-memorial weekend celebration and what not. But I won't make this one too long because I know you guys wanna go out and have fun and celebrate with friends and family so peace out and be easy. Remember "Click it or Ticket" is heavy in the streets.

Back again it has been a hectic and busy couple of weeks. School is soon coming to an end and its relax/creating art time. Looking forward to the summer time and the time off from school. It gives me the opportunity to concentrate on my artwork and I can regroup physically and mentally. I am almost done with the last piece that I posted up just a few more things to do to it and add the finishing touches to it. I am content so far with the outcome of it. Will re-shoot after it is all done and finished. But I am definitely motivated to continue creating new work until the next time to be continued.......

Hello all and happy mother's day to all mothers around the world for your continued hard effort and unconditional support. Well I have been away from the blogging scene because I have been working on new pieces of art and I have been focused. My new work is coming along I work on it as much as I can one day I do one day I don't but I am consistent with it. So far I am I like how things are turning out. I am currently working with mosaics and plywood and mixed-media as I usually do. Hopefully I will be able to achieve my goal this summer which is to create a reasonable amount of pieces and also experiment with new things. So I am going to keep this one short for now. Last night I was up reading the latest issue of Antenna Magazine and this issue features japanese artist Tomokazu Matsuyama. So I started to read the article on this guy and man I have to say it drew me in so I couldn't resist I had to finish reading the article. So I continue reading about him and his art and it was pretty interesting how this guy spends an average of 12 hours a day in brooklyn based studio and how he also said sometimes you have to walk away from your work and comeback to it kind of sort of as a refreshment. So I respect the guys philosophy and dedication to his art and the visual arts world.

Good evening all hope all are well just got a chance to do some blogging and post up somethings. Been on the runaround all day so for you huslter's you know how it is non-stop just going and going till your legs give it out. Today the day started off a bit slow but peaceful for a brotha. The morning was a bit cold and some hailing as well I was in the car with my peoples and I was sipping on a cup of coffee from dunking d's and I put the window down just a bit to get some fresh air and I saw this lil miniature snowball fall on my sleeve I was like wow in the middle of april thats crazy! But any how I went a a small trip today did some traveling in jersey went to the legendary city of Newark yup thats right the brick city and I was driving around and just noticing how they are renovating the downtown area and how beautiful it is becoming. I had my camera with me so I took advantage and took some flixs of just subjects that caught my attention for inspiration to create new work. So here are some shots I took while on my journey I must say that it was very therapeutic to just get up and go and search for inspiration. Enjoy and feel free to comment.

Good day all and happy tuesday hope all of you are doing well and up and at it. Sad to say what happen to the sun? Yesterday the sun was shining and a bit windy out but it was still pleasant. Seems as if mother nature is playing a little game of tease with her fellow children.

In other news I am currently working and listening to some funky off the wall J Dilla and Pete Rock beats. Man talking about these kats are and were the Mozart and Beethoven of real hip-hop nothing like listening to well organized series of beats and breaks.

A couple of weeks ago I was at the Syllabuzz Magazine / Pix-L Graphx office and I was there doing my numbers and what not. And of course no better fun then to chill with Mason the office wonder. So I happen to have my camera with me so of course I shot some photos of Mason in action and documenting his human like behavior. Boy was it quite funny! Pics will be posted up soon! As soon as I get my camera and upload the flixs.

So how does everyone feel about Jadakiss new album how many mics, thumbs up do we give him or it. I listened to a couple of tracks and they are decent/good. Of course Jada will be Jada with his signature shoutout!

Good morning happy monday morning. The sun is shining and the birds is flying and the buses is running and the day is flowing as usual. Woke up this morning thinking about ways to expand myself as an artist and I came to a conclusion that all I have to do is get out there more and brand the wonderful streets of nj, nyc, and the world. Currently my logo is in Costa Rica being posted up so I cannot complain. Well a new week is here it is monday I am on spring break and ready to take one the grand hustle of grinding. I am on my way to upstate ny and you best believe I have my trusty point and shoot cam with me. I have to document everything and everywhere I go for motivation, inspriation, inhalation, and aspiration. I think I've covered everything with that.

I was doing some morning online browsing and came across Bobby Fresh Clothing line and I peeped out the new exclusive shirt Air Yeezy. I must say the shirt is dope, fresh, groovy, rad, etc..... But yeah the Kanye illustration is hot! They always come up with unique ideas and what not. So if you have some Air Yeezy's then this is definitely the shirt you want to run with.

Hello all and god bless all of you in more than one way. Just want to wish everyone a Happy Easter and a blessed day. I have to apologize to everyone because of the setbacks we have been experiencing. Our site is currently down until further notice. So we had no other choice to start a new blog. We have started various blogs and have not been able to keep them going as we would like to. This is our most current blog and we do plan on sticking with this one long-term. There are many new things in the works. Such as a new site, spring/summer t-shirts collection, for Elijah Arts T-shirt line called Grimus, new artwork, and possibly some photography. All coming soon so stay tuned!

Again I apologize for the runaround as we try to get organized and focused it is not easy so I thank you for your continuous support and patience.
